The eight to ten scholars who participate in Winchester ABC live in the ABC house in Winchester center, supported and supervised by adult residential coordinators.
Academic Support
The resident academic coordinator, supported as needed by tutors in specific academic areas, supervises the weekday study period.
Dorm Life
Scholars who participate in Winchester ABC live in the ABC house in Winchester center and within walking distance to Winchester High School. The house is supervised by several adults on staff, including 2 Resident Directors, a Resident Academic Coordinator, Resident Chef, Tutors, and College Coaches. The Resident Directors are in charge of daily activities and overall program success. The Resident Academic Coordinator provides tutoring, study hour supervision, academic oversight and support, and shares in the overall supervision of the house.
The scholars share housekeeping responsibilities. Because the scholars share living quarters in a dormitory-like setting, the program enrolls only young men.
